Moods, Music, Memories – MC, Fae Ellington

Fae Ellington is a sought-after master of ceremonies at home and abroad. This multi-talented personality started her career in broadcast media and journalism in 1974, three years after she established herself as an actress.

She is a communication consultant, trainer and speaking coach for companies, groups and individuals in the public and private sectors and, since 1985, has been a lecturer at the Caribbean School of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) at The University of the West Indies (The UWI), Mona Campus in Jamaica. On April 1, 2018, she assumed the role of host and producer of the popular weekly interview programme, Profile, on Television Jamaica (TVJ).

Fae was trained at the Jamaica School of Drama, the British Broadcasting Corporation, (BBC), and CARIMAC. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies from The UWI and is a BBC certified trainer.

Her public service includes being a director of several boards, currently serving on the boards of National Integrity Action, and St. Hugh’s High School – her alma mater. She is a member of the Access to Information Appeal Tribunal and patron of the Clarendon 4H Clubs.

For her sterling contribution to communication, media, education and culture, Ms Ellington was awarded the national honour: Order of Distinction, Commander Class. Other honours include the Bronze Musgrave Medal, and the St. Hugh’s High School Distinguished Past Student Award.
